Night shifts may lead to heart problems, a new study led by a team of international researchers has linked night shift jobs with an increased risk of heart diseases with the help of inputs from 2,83,657 people collated by the UK Biobank database researchers found the longer and more frequently people worked night shifts own their lifetime, the greater was their risk of AF. Although studies like the cannot show a causal link between night shifts and heart disease, our results suggest that current and lifetime night shift work may increase the risk of their conditions.
