I haven’t achieved the goals that I want to achieve.
I have wasted my time doing those things which I don’t love to do.
I want to be a filmmaker and what I live doing working in a multinational company like a slave for which they were throwing me peanuts at the end of the month.
And I am grabbing it like a dog.
Sometimes I thought why I am work in a multinational company.
Why I am wasting my time here. I am a creative person. Creativity is in my blood.
I am 27 now. Soon I will turn 28. I graduated in 2015 when I was 21 years old.
I thought now I will join a filmmaking school where I will learn about the basics of filmmaking.
I applied for the Film and Television Institute of India. I failed the entrance exam.
Unable to apply for the National School Of Drama because I do not have experience of six plays.
I was inspired and still, I am by many storytellers whom I admire their works and creativeness in the film which are not just films they have made.
They have made art. Which you can call a masterpiece in modern cinema.
If you are from a middle-class family like I am and thinking of doing the job and pursuing your dreams at one time. So let’s be frank you will be fooling yourself like I have and still I am.
I want to achieve so many things in my life, want to explore new things every day.
I want to live my life to the fullest so I do not have to regret anything at last.
But what I am doing completing my targets every week, compiling my data every week, making a presentation, and I am getting appreciation for my sincere work from my seniors.
Sometimes I thought the thing which I do not like and still, I am giving my 100 percent into it and getting appreciation from my seniors for it.
If I would do what I love I will make magic. And I believe in it.
Born into a middle-class family will bound you into duties. From the day you have born. Middle-class boys think thousand times if they want to pursue something different.
If you are the elder one so doing something you are passionate about is so much difficult because you have to look at your younger siblings and family.
And the truth is one you will be bound into the duties of being an elder sibling in your family.
You have to kill your dream every day in the hope I will pursue it tomorrow.
April hold my hand and smiled we started walking towards the exit of the college.
There is a distance of 3-4 kilometer from the exit gate to the nearest metro station.
Students usually do take rickshaws to reach the metro station.
I usually walked to the bus station which was hardly one kilometer from the college exit gate and commute from Delhi transport air-conditioned half empty busses.
I remember that day was especially we both hold our hands and walking and I cannot express that emotion on paper, it is difficult to explain.
It can be felt and hard to express through words. If I try to express myself through words. I know I couldn’t do justice to those feelings which we feel inside our body holding the hand of the girl whom you started liking and feeling that liking is converting into love.
If someone asks me can you explain those moments how you feel inside your mind heart and body at that time.
In simple words, I will cancel all my plans if April wants to walk with me holding my hand.
When I saw her first time I didn’t think this could happen between both of us.
But at that moment when we are walking holding our hands. I don’t know it was too soon or silly that I thought I had decided I will spend the rest of my life with you April.
I suddenly stopped while walking when this thought came into my mind. When I stopped suddenly, April looked at me. And I said April I want to say you something.
She said yes. I said please do not react if you don’t want to like what I said.
She said Himanshu now you are scaring me. Please speak up. I said to her while walking a thought came to my mind and I just want to say to you.
She said yes what is it. I said to April I had decided I will spend the rest of my life with you.
She looked at me with her beautiful brown eyes for a minute. Then she said silly this is the most romantic thing I ever heard in my life whom I like and love. Thank you for that I feel the same. She said.
She hugged and I hugged her back at that moment I was hundred percent sure that I am in love with April.
I was sitting at my home & I got a text saying hey, Al Pacino how are you? This side Sharon stone. I replied I am great. How are you? She replied saying good & asked are you coming to the college this week to submit your assignments? I replied yes.Â
She said okay so what time you will come she asked. I replied around 11 am which means I have no idea which time I will be reached. Â
You guys were thinking what the shit is going on. Is this is a normal story to tell? The answer is I don’t know. I am just sharing this story.
So back to the story guys, I haven’t made my assignments till I got a text from April. As in reality, I am a very lazy guy from my childhood.Â
It is just not that I am too lazy it is just in which a task is given to me and there is no deadline or I think it is not important now. I will do later that task I always neglected to do it later due to my laziness.Â
So somehow I reached completing two assignments and submitted another 3 assignments later which cost me 1500 rupees plus extra to make a demand draft. Which is another story which I will tell you somehow later.Â
Conclusion my laziness cost me 1500 rupees. So as I manage to complete two assignments which I made by reviewing points from Wikipedia, & finding notes with the help of study material of Jamia Milia Islamia & Indra Gandhi’s national open university books.Â
It was Saturday morning, I wake up took my bag went to the bus station. Caught the bus for Lajpat Nagar. I never get a seat while going to college & somehow I got lucky to get a seat in the middle of the journey.Â
I have always had bad luck that always a senior citizen, uncle, or aunty came and stand next to my seat which results in me have to vacant the seat.Â
On the bus journey, my time pass was to listen to music. Now you guys were thinking I have music taste of Punjabi, Bollywood at that time. No at that time I used to listen to English, Spanish pop, rock, and rap music.Â
So once I caught the bus at the Saturday morning. I took the ticket from the bus conductor. I have got a call from April. Hey, are you coming to college today? I said yes I am on my way to college. She said okay so meet you at college. I replied okay and disconnected the call.Â
As usual, I drop at Lajpat Nagar bus station. Waited for the bus that drops me at Jamia college. I have waited around 15-20 minutes but no luck.Â
In between one bus came but it was fully packed and I always neglect buses if it was fully packed with people.
I take an autorickshaw for the college and reached college in 10 minutes from Lajpat Nagar to Jamia college gate number 17.
I started walking at the center of distance learning, where the may I help you counterman asked me to come from the backside which I did.
In the meantime, I have got a call from April. She said where are you? I said in the college and I asked where are you? She said at the end of the backside of the canteen college & said come here fast.
I said okay. I asked the may I help you, counterman, where I have to submit the political science master first-year assignments.
He guided me to go to the backside of the canteen. I started walking towards the backside of the college and upon reaching there I start seeing people copying assignments with others and some of them are making fresh assignments sitting in the park of the college. Some are in the queue submitting their college assignments.
I also lined up in the queue for submitting my only two assignments out of five. I heard a voice hey Al Pacino.
I turn around to look & I have seen a smiling face approaches me it was April. Once she shouted hey Al Pacino. People in the queue starting to seeing me.
She reached me and raise her hand towards me and I did the same and we handshake. I see a blush on her face & after ten seconds I take my hand down. I said how are you? She said I am good & asked how are you? I said I am excellent.
In 2017 I have bleached my hair and my friends are liking my new look. A girl called me & said you look like a hippie & I smiled at her then she said don’t take it the wrong way it’s a compliment. I smiled at her again & said I don’t fucking care but thank you. She looked at me for 10 seconds with a blank expression that what just happened but suddenly after 10 seconds, she smiled back.
She asked my name I said my name is Al Pacino. She said her name is Sharon Stone. I smiled at her she smiled back. Then I provided her my name and asked her name she said her name is April. I said what a unique name you have and in my mind April a month she was named what her parents were thinking at that time.
She said what you do I said I am unskilled labor and you? She said she is an actress. And said what does unskilled labor means. I said to work in a multinational company in Gurgaon. She said that’s a good thing you are working & studying at the same time. I said I guess you are right.
I said to her okay see you. Bye and start walking towards the bus station she scream Al Pacino what’s your phone number. I said why? She said to ask if you are coming to college or not. At that time I usually go to college on Saturday only. I said okay I have given my phone number to her by the way she was in master in English honor’s & I was in master’s in political science.
Life became back to normal Monday prepare for office then office to home. The same goes for to rest of the week. On Friday she texted me hey Al Pacino April this side save my number. I replied her okay. Then she asked are you coming tomorrow? I replied I guess let’s see.
She replied to me back a question mark & said honey are you okay? I said yes she replied so are you coming or not. I replied yes I am coming. She replied that’s better.
On Saturday morning due to laziness, I am thinking of skipping classes however I checked my phone and seen April’s text where are you? I quickly take a shower get ready and catch a bus and while traveling replied her I am on my way to college she texted back okay.
I reached college she was outside the classroom. And she came to me and said hi. I said hi to her. Then I asked how are you? She said I am good and asked me how are you? I said I am good too.
I said to April so April see you after class. She smiled at me and I entered my class. After class, I see April was waiting outside for me. She asked how was your class? I said it was fine and yours she said same fine.
I said bye to her and went to the bus station again. This same cycle repeated two more weeks. Then on the fourth week, I skipped my class. I got a text from April where are you? I replied at home. She replied why? Don’t you be here at college? I replied it doesn’t matter & now I will not come to classes. She said why I replied I don’t like to come to classes anymore. She replied after few minutes saying okay.
A secret agent embarks on a dangerous, time-bending mission to prevent the start of World War III.
Summary
A CIA agent, the “Protagonist”, participates in an undercover operation at a Kyiv opera house. His life is saved by a masked soldier with a distinctive trinket, who “un-fires” a bullet through a hostile gunman. After seizing an artifact, the Protagonist is captured by mercenaries. He endures torture before consuming cyanide. He awakens to learn the cyanide was a test of his loyalty; his team has been killed and the artifact lost.
The Protagonist is now employed by a secret organization called Tenet. A scientist shows him bullets with “inverted” entropy which allows them to move backwards through time. She believes they are manufactured in the future, and a weapon exists that can wipe out the past. Aided by a local contact, Neil, the Protagonist traces the bullet cartridges to arms dealer Priya Singh. He discovers she is a member of Tenet; her cartridges had been purchased and time-inverted by Russian oligarch Andrei Sator.
The Protagonist approaches Sator’s estranged wife Kat, an art appraiser who unknowingly sold Sator a forged Goya drawing. Sator uses the drawing to blackmail her and keep her under his control. The Protagonist plots to steal the drawing with Neil from a free port facility in Oslo Airport. There, they find a machine, a “turnstile”, and fend off two masked men. Priya explains that the turnstile can invert the entropy of objects and people, and the masked men were the same person.
In the Amalfi Coast, Kat introduces the Protagonist to Sator, but learns the drawing is intact. The three go boating and Kat attempts to drown Sator, but the Protagonist saves him. The Protagonist offers to help Sator retrieve a case he says contains Plutonium-241. In Tallinn, the Protagonist and Neil ambush an armoured convoy and steal the case, which contains the artifact lost in Kyiv. They are ambushed by an inverted Sator, who holds Kat hostage. The Protagonist gives Sator an empty case and he retreats. The Protagonist saves Kat, but is captured and taken to Sator’s warehouse.
The inverted Sator shoots Kat with an inverted round, while the normal Sator demands the location of the artifact; the Protagonist gives him false information. Tenet operatives led by Ives rescue the Protagonist while Sator escapes. The group take Kat through Sator’s turnstile to invert her, reversing the effect of the round. The Protagonist returns to the ambush site and chases Sator. His vehicle is overturned and Sator sets it on fire; the Protagonist is saved by Ives’ team again. Neil reveals he is a member of Tenet.
The Protagonist and Neil travel back in time to the free port in Oslo. There, the Protagonist fights his past self and enters the turnstile to revert himself, followed by Neil and Kat. Priya explains that the artifacts are parts of an “algorithm” Sator is assembling, capable of catastrophically inverting entropy.
Sator square, providing the film title, location of the opening sequence (Kyiv Opera), and character or firm names (A. Sator; Arepo the Goya forger; and Rotas Security in Oslo Freeport) Kat reveals Sator is dying from pancreatic cancer. He will trigger the algorithm with a dead man’s switch, believing the world should die with him. Kat believes Sator will kill himself during their vacation in Vietnam when they were last happy together. The Protagonist, Neil, Kat, and the Tenet forces invert back to that day so Kat can delay Sator’s death while Tenet secures the algorithm.
Tenet tracks the assembled algorithm to Sator’s hometown of Stalsk-12 in Northern Siberia. In a “temporal pincer movement”, red team troops move forward in time, while the blue team troops move backward. The Protagonist and Ives are aided by a masked corpse with a trinket on its backpack that returns to life. In Vietnam, Kat boards Sator’s yacht and kills him as the Protagonist and Ives secure the algorithm.
The Protagonist, Neil, and Ives break up the algorithm and part ways. The Protagonist notices a trinket on Neil’s rucksack. Neil reveals he was recruited by the Protagonist years earlier, and this mission is the end of a long friendship. Priya attempts to have Kat assassinated, but is killed by the Protagonist, who has realized he is the future mastermind behind Tenet.
Review.
It’s the rare action film where the characters don’t just say the world will end if they fail in their mission – you feel it, too.
David Washington is rock-solid in the lead role. Robert Pattinson brings his A-game.
Robert Pattinson puts in a truly electrifying turn.
Spectacular – Mind-Bending – Complex. A visual feast meant to be watched on big screens. Another Narrative from Christopher Nolan that confuses you big time. Tenet is a glorious outing where physics trumps philosophy, and viewers are motivated to weigh in on the concepts of fate and reality and revisit those of time-travel.
A highly-recommended film for audiences if they want to be left thinking for more and a visual extravaganza at its finest!
